Directions:1. Beat eggs, oil, molasses and sugar 2. Add the rest of the ingredients 3. Roll out onto Pam sprayed cookie sheets 4. Cut out the gingerbread shapes 5. Bake 350 for 15 min or until you lightly touch it and it seems firm 6. Roof - 3 ½ inches by 7 inches 7. Front – 3 ½ by 5 ½ inches
Icing: 1. Cut off tip of plastic pastry bag. 2. Insert metal frosting tip. 3. Beat egg whites with the tartar until foamy 4. Add in the confectioner sugar 5. Beat until light and fluffy about 5 min. 6. Scoop into plastic pastry bag. 7. Using elastic, secure the top of the bag. 8. To keep tip from hardening. Wrap plastic around tip between assembly sessions.
Assembly: 1. Pipe a strip of frosting on the bottom and side of a gingerbread side. 2. Push down onto the cake round. 3. Taking a gingerbread back, secure to frosted side. 4. Pipe a strip along the bottom and side of another gingerbread side. 5. Secure the front between the two sides. 6. Let harden 24 hours. 7. Pipe frosting on the top of the gingerbread side. 8. Secure roof (may need to add more frosting) 9. Pipe additional frosting over the gap in the top. 10. Pipe a door on the front. 11. Pipe edging around the bottom of the gingerbread house. 12. Tint frosting to green. Frost sugar cones to make Christmas trees |
