6 Granny Smith apples (thinly sliced)
3 c. unsifted flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
2½ c.sugar
1 c. oil
½ c.orange juice
1½ tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
small squeeze of lemon
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all but apples. Sprinkle 3 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. cinnamon over apples. Grease tube pan. Place 1/2 apples on bottom. Place ⅓ apples on batter. Alternate layers with the final layer being apples.
Bake 350 degrees for 2 hours.
