6 cups thinly sliced potatoes
1/3 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
3 slices bacon, diced
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup half and half
1 cup whole milk

Directions:
Directions:
If using bacon, cook till almost crisp and drain on paper towels.

Scatter half the potatoes in a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Add half the onion and sprinkle with half the bacon and half the flour. Sprinkle with half the salt and pepper then repeat layers. Combine half and half and milk and pour over all.

Cover and bake at 350º 1 hour and 15 minutes. Uncover and bake tll potatoes are done and mixture is lightly browned - 15 to 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

This is a yummy old-fashioned scalloped potato recipe. In fact I am making it tonight with chicken. :) This is a base if you want to add left over ham for a complete dinner.
