2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups milk, scolded
1/2 tsp, vanilla
1 tlbs butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.

Beat eggs, sugar and salt slightly to mix. Stir in scolded milk. Add vanilla. Pour into 6 custard cups. Sprinkle a little nutmeg over top and bake 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. Let cool.

**Put 1 tlbs butter into pan with milk. When the butter melts milk is scolded.

I love custard. I remember when I had one of my surgeries I had custard in the hospital and it tasted so good. When I got home I made it again and again. Pop didn't want any and, of course, the kids didn't want any but I loved it. Delicious and healthy. :)
