Sweet and Sour Green Beans Recipe

4 c. green beans (fresh, frozen, or even canned)
4 strips chopp bacon (try using more...)
1 c. diced onion
2T flour
⅔ c. sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
c. water
4T vinegar
2 tsp dried mustard
2T chopped pimiento

Directions:
Directions:
Saute bacon and diced onion. Stir in flour, sugar, salt/pepper, water, vinegar, mustard, and pimiento. Bring to boil and continue cooking until thick. Pour over green beans in serving bowl. (Note: the long skinny frozen whole green beans from Costco are really good for this recipe.)

My California sister is the reason we know about, and use frequently, this recipe. In 2004 while preparing Christmas dinner, I couldn't find my recipe. Somewhat flustered, I called her to ask her to email it to me. She laughed, because she had the recipe right in front of her--as she was making it for HER Christmas dinner as well!
