SAUCE

In 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion and garlic until tender, stirring frequently, about 10 minutes.

Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients; over high heat, heat to boiling.

Reduce heat to medium to medium-low; partially cover and cook 30 minutes. Discard Bay leaf.

While sauce is cooking, in large pot, prepare ziti according to label directions. Drain and set aside.

In same large pot over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until well browned, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Preheat oven to 350º

Remove pot from heat; stir in ricotta, next 5 ingredients and half Spaghetti sauce until well mixed. Add ziti and toss gently to coat well.

Spoon mixture into 13X9 baking pan; pour remaining sauce evenly over ziti mixture; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
