7/8 c sugar
tsp salt
5 egg yolks
c cornstarch
c water
3 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. heat sugar, salt, and milk
2. temper yolks, add to milk
3. heat to just before boiling
4. add cornstarch mix, stir to thicken
5. add vanilla
