2 cup water
2 cups chopped potatoes
3 tbsp butter
1 small onion chopped
2 tbsp flour
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp sugar
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped ham

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes in water. Drain, reserving water. Measure 1 cup, adding water if necessary.
Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion cook until tender. Add flour. Cook 3 to 4 minutes.
Gradually add potatoes, reserve liquid, milk and sugar to onion mix. Add ham and cheese and simmer.
