One large head of cabbage
Filling:
One pound ground beef
½ pound ground pork
one egg
½ cup rice, cooked in one cup milk, one cup water
One teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon white pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Boil cabbage (uncovered) about 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Core.
Cook rice in milk.
Fill each cabbage leaf with meat mixture - each leaf holds about two to three tablespoons meat.
Be sure to trim out center vein of each leaf.
Fasten with toothpick.
Place in skillet with melted butter and brown each side well.
Cover and saute covered for about 20-25 more minutes.
