cake -
1 cup shorting
2 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1 small can flake coconut

glaze -
1 cup sugar
½cup water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
cake -
Cream shortening and sugar well. Add eggs, beating well after each egg, add flavoring, then flour, salt, and coconut. Bake in a Greased pan for 1 hour and 15 min at 325ºF

glaze -
Bring to boil the sugar, water, let boil 1 min. Let cool, add coconut flavoring. Pat over warm cake and let cool in pan.
