2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Shortening
4 Eggs
1-½ Cups Flour
⅓ Cup Cocoa
1-¼ tsp Salt
3 tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Nuts
1 Pkg. Mini-Marshmellows

Directions:
Directions:
Grease and flour a 9X13 Pan.
Preheat oven to 300º.

Cream together sugar and shortening.
Beat in the Eggs.
Sift together Flour, Cocoa, and Salt
Add the dry ingredients to the mixture.
Add Vanilla and Nuts to the mixture.

Pour mixture into pan and bake at 300º for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Spread marshmellows over the top and return to melt (about 10 minutes)

I got this recipe from a cowgirl friend (Diane Flowers). She made this at her home back in the late 1970s. I just loved this cake and had to get the recipe!
