2 cups water
1 Tbl Butter
1 Tsp Salt

Boil the water, butter and salt. Add the rice and reduce to low to medium heat. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.

The secret to rice is always add less water than the recipe says. I know this from trial and error. Too much water will make it mushy and too little will make it hard. If the recipe calls for 2 cups water and 1 cup rice, add less water (or more rice) by 1/3 cup or so
