6 cups water
3 cups rice
Slab of bacon, unsalted
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Chop slab of bacon enough for 1/4 cup. Fry it and drain it, reserving 2 Tbsp. bacon grease. Boil water and add salt and bacon and 2 Tbsp. bacon grease. Add the rice to the boiling water and leave uncovered until water reaches level of rice. Lower heat and cover until done.

Makes 8-10 servings.
