2 large green peppers
¾ lb ground beef
⅓ cup chopped onion
1 7-oz can tomatoes, cut up
⅓ cup long grain rice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp dried oregano
½ cup shredded cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Halve the peppers lengthwise. Immerse them in boiling water for 3 minutes. Sprinkle insides with salt and invert on towels to drain. In a skillet cook meat and onion. Drain fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes , uncooked rice, Worcestershire, basil, ½ cup of water, ¼ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15-18 minutes. Stir in ¼ cup of the cheese. Fill peppers with meat mixture. Place in a baking dish. Bake at 375º for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and let stand 2 minutes.
