5/8 cup molasses
1 cups sugar
Add cup butter.
cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons grated orange rind
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ginger
4 egg yolks, one at a time, alternating with mixture of
6 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda.

Heat molasses, sugar until dissolved. Add butter. When mixture cools, add: sour cream, orange rind, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and ginger. Add egg yolks, one at a time, alternating with mixture of flour
and baking soda. Blend until smooth. Chill dough at least 1 hour. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on floured pastry cloth. Cut into gingerbread men with cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 8-10 mins. Decorate with icing, raisins, and nuts as desired.
