¼ lb bacon, chopped
½ large onion, diced
5 large potatoes, peeled and diced
3 C chicken broth
1 stick butter or margarine
1 C of milk
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large pot, fry bacon until almost crispy. Add onions and cook until translucent.

2. Add chicken broth to pot.

3. Add diced potatoes and simmer covered, unil potatoes are done.

4. Mash potatoes with the back of a spoon for a chunkier soups,or use a potato masher for a smoother soup.

5. Add butter and stir until melted.

6. On simmer add one cup of milk.

7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
