¾ cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
(optional: you can substitute the above four spices for 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice)1
2 large eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1: 15 ounce can pumpkin or 2 cups fresh (cooked, strained, pureed) pumpkin
1 deep dish pie shell
Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Mix sugar, salt, and spices. Beat in eggs, milk, and pumpkin. Pour into pie shell. Bake at above heat for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and continue baking for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip.
