2 sticks butter
4 T. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs - beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. buttermilk ( can substitute with 1½ tsp. Lemon juice or white vinegar and fill with milk up to ½ c. measure, let sit for 5 min.)

Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 T. cocoa
6 T. milk ( ⅓ c.)
3½ c. powdered sugar

Combine dry ingredients in mixer bowl. Mix butter, cocoa, and water in a small saucepan. Place over low heat until butter is melted, stirring constantly. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over flour mixture and blend well. Add beaten eggs, buttermilk, soda, and vanilla. Mix and pour into greased 11 x 16” sheet cake pan. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes.

Frosting:
Mix together butter, milk, cocoa, vanilla, and powdered sugar until creamy. Spread onto of warm brownies.
