½ c butter
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 tea. garlic powder (I use fresh garlic, chopped)
2 c milk or cream
6 oz. grated parmesan cheese
1/8 tea. ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in med. pan, add cream cheese and garlic – stirrng with whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a atime, whisking out lumps. Stir in parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency.
Sauce will thicken quickly – add a little milk if needed.
Toss with hot pasta.

I would add fresh parsley too
