From Cathy
Noted by Robbie: I think it quite appropriate that Cathy submitted the recipe for Snickerdoodles. When we all lived at home and Grandma & Grandpa Boyd lived in Florida, we always went down to visit our grandparents for Christmas. One year Cathy was told to make cookies for the long trip (we always drove). She decided to make Snickerdoodles, and she also decided to make a double recipe so we'd have plenty of cookies. As you can see from the single recipe she submitted, it makes 6 dozen cookies. Imagine the amount of cookies a double recipe would make (This is a math exercise, kids). This was before the era of zipper bags, so we had several large containers of
Snickerdoodles. We ate them on the way down, during our stay, and all the way back and still had Snickerdoodles to stuff in anyone's mouth as a greeting for visitors for a month afterwards. I couldn't look at a Snickerdoodle for years after.
Cathy's response - I loved them so much; I never grew tired of them!
