1 1/2 C. soft shortening
3 eggs
3 C. brown sugar
3/4 C molasses

6 3/4 C. flour
3 t. cinnamon
1 1/2 t. cloves
6 t. baking soda
3 t. ginger
3/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the first 4 ingredients. Sift together the others. Combine and chill 2 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into size of walnuts. Dip tops in sugar. Place cookies sugar side up 3" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 min.
