1 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
1 t. soda
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 t. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
4 apples cut to bite-sized pieces
1 1/2 c flour
2 T. oleo or butter
2 T. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts if desired

Directions:

Blend together and mix thoroughly adding apples and nuts last. Bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes.
