1½ cups sugar
1 cup soft Crisco
2 eggs
2¾ cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
½ teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoons vanilla

Coating:
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375º
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
Bake 10 minutes; take out to flatten; put back in the oven for 2 minutes.

Cream sugar, shortening, and eggs

Whisk together flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt.

Beat dry ingredients into the sugar/egg/shortening mixture until well incorporated.

Stir in vanilla.

Use a cookie scoop to ensure uniform size; roll into balls;

Roll each ball in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Starbucks employees sold cookbooks compiled by the "partners" to raise money for the "Cup Fund." Its purpose is for "partners" to help other "partners," such as those who are affected by natural disasters. This Snickerdoodles recipe was in one of those cookbooks.

I intend to find a "browned butter" Snickerdoodle recipe. If I do I will replace this one in a future edition. Until then enjoy this one.
