¾ c. brown sugar
¼ c. shortening
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 (6 oz.) can (1/3 c.) frozen orange juice, thawed
1 (8¾ oz.) can (1 c.) crushed pineapple
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening; add egg and beat well. Sift together flour and soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with orange juice to creamed mixture, stirring well after each addition. Stir in undrained pineapple and chopped pecans. Turn into a well greased 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan. Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
