6 cups cubed ham
7 or 8 potatoes cooked with skins, then peeled
onion diced


White Sauce:
½ cup butter
½ cup flour
4 cups milk
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Butter large casserole dish. Slice potatoes and alternate cubed ham, potatoes and onion. When finished layering ham and potatoes pour white sauce over casserole. Bake for 350º for 1 hour covered.


White Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Blend in flour salt and pepper. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly stirring constantly. Add milk gradually and heat until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.

We call this "Damn You" casserole because it is so Damn good. This recipe was from Mom-Mom Carol's favorite Aunt, Midge. She was a wonderful cook.
