Cookies:
1 3/4 c. Sugar
2 sticks Butter
2 eggs
1 c. Buttermilk
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp Baking soda
2 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Vanilla
3 3/4-4 c. Flour

Icing:
1 stick butter
1 lb. 10x Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
Milk (to spreading consistency)

Cookies:
Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients (soda, powder, flour, and salt) and add them alternately with buttermilk until combined.
Bake 375º 9 minutes.

Icing:
Melt butter, then remove from heat and add sugar/vanilla. Add milk to spreading consistency.

Cookie recipe is 1/2 batch of original cookie recipe, but with full batch of icing.

The kids can add sprinkles on top before the icing sets, or you can add a little food coloring for various occasions. I don't give my recipes to just anybody, you know!
