1 3/4 c unsifted all purpose flour
2 c sugar
3/4 c cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 c strong black coffee
1 c buttermilk or sour milk
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk or sour milk, oil and vanilla; beat 2 minutes on medium speed (batter will be thin). Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 pan or two 9" layer pans. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes for oblong pan or 30 to 35 minutes for layer pans, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely before icing.

To sour milk: Use 1 tbsp vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup.
