Ingredients:  
1 lb. ground sausage
1/4 - 1/2 c. flour
milk
salt and pepper
3 T. Crisco or butter (more if needed)

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage in deep skillet or pan until brown and crumbly. Add Crisco or butter, salt and pepper and stir until shortening is melted. Add the flour to the sausage and stir to make a paste. Let cook for 1-2 minutes. Add milk and stir, bringing mixture to a boil. If the gravy is too thick, add more milk. If too thin, you can thicken with a little cornstarch and water.
