1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Packed, Light Brown Sugar
1 Cup White Sugar
2/3 Cup Half and Half
6 Tablespoons Amaretto (Disaronno)
Pinch of Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a small saucepan.
Heat over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
Add the half and half, amaretto and salt.
Bring to a simmer.
Simmer for five minutes, stirring regularly.
Remove from heat and allow to cool at least 10 minutes.

After the Franco's disaster of 2017 there was a definite sadness that Amaretto Sauce was no longer going to be a part of the Gulf Shore experience. In 2018 Alex and Kate heroically found a recipe for Amaretto Caramel Sauce and saved vacation ;)

If I made this again I would probably use more Amaretto than it calls for, but I really really like Amaretto and everyone else seemed to like it as is
