1 egg - separated
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter and margarine
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts - chopped
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine egg yolk, butter sugar, vanilla and flour and beat until well mixed. Stir in ½ cup of the nuts and spread mixture thinly into a greased and floured jelly roll pan. Beat egg whites until frothy and add a few grains salt. Spread over sugar mixture and sprinkle with the remaining nuts. bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Take out of the oven and spread the peanut butter, quickly over the hot cookies. Then spread the chocolate chips over the peanut butter and let stand for 5 minutes the swirl with a knife. Cool and then cut into bars.
