1 32 oz. pkg frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. chopped onion (cooked in a little butter until translucent)
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 c. grated cheese (I use cheddar)
2 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine all except potatoes, blending well. Then add potatoes, mixing well. Place in a 2 quart buttered casserole dish. Top with plain bread crumbs. Bake for 1 hour uncovered.
