1 lb Navy beans, soaked over night in water, drained
1 t baking soda
1 large onion minced
a piece of salt pork
1 C maple syrup
1 C brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 t dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
cover beans with cold water in large kettle
bring to boil, let boil for a few minutes
add baking soda, boil for a few more minutes
drain and rinse
return to kettle, cover with cold water
add onion and salt pork, boil until done (to test, blow on them if skin comes off they are done), drain
Add maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, pepper and mustard, stir well

Pour into greased casserole dish

Bake on low oven until thick and bubbly
