Directions:
In a bowl mix powdered sugar, vanilla and 5 Tablespoons of water. Stir until smooth and of desired consistency. If you need to add more water add a little at a time. The frosting should not be runny. To make Santa Faces; spread each cookie with a small amount of creamy frosting and sprinkle top third of cookie with red sugar, then sprinkle coconut on bottom third for Santa's beard. Then press two chocolate chips for eyes and a red M&M for a nose, and add a miniature marshmallow for tassel on cap. Leave cookies air dry until frosting is set. Sometimes the kids like to use green frosting to make Elves. The little kids love making these and they can do them fast.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mom first made these with my kids in the early 1980's, and it has been a tradition ever since. I now make them with my grandchildren. Ann
