4 c brown sugar
1 lb butter
4½ tsp soda
2½ eggs
5½ to 6 c of cake flour (softasilk)
2¼ tsp cream of tartar
5¼ tsp vanilla
½ lb pecans

Directions:
after mixed, pat down in pan 1¾ to 2 inches thick. Freeze hard. Cut while cookies are still frozen. Put on baking sheet. Wash with whole eggs beaten with a little water in eggs. Bake at 370º to 375º .
