4 c. flour
1 T. Sugar ( opt)
1 tsp. salt
1¾ c. lard ( can use half butter)
½ c. cold water
1 egg
1 T. vinegar

You can buy lard in the dairy section in sticks like butter.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients, then cut in the lard into this mixture. Combine water, egg, and vinegar, then add to dry mixture. Mix well. Divide dough into 5 patties and wrap each in wax paper. Chill ½ hour before rolling out, or freeze 3 to 6 months. Each pattie makes 1 pie.
