6 slices white bread
Butter or margarine
1 pound ground pork sausage
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
6 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups half-and half
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Trim crust from bread slices. Spread butter over 1 side of bread slice. Place bread slices, buttered side upon a lightly greased 13-x 9 inch baking dish. Set aside.
Brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain. Spoon sausage over bread; sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half and half, salt, pepper and pour over cheese. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
Remove casserole from refrigerator let stand 30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 45 minuets or until golden.
