1 package hashbrowns frozen 32 oz bag
1 32 oz chicken stock
1 8 oz cream cheese
1 small onion
1 lb sausage
1/2 lb ham
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 package shredded cheese
Green onions chopped
bacon bits
sour cream

This is a great crock pot dish, but is easily adjusted to stove top.

Crock pot
Fry sausage
Cut up in small cubes ham (if you want to just add more sausage - skip the ham and add another 1/2 lb of sausage).
Place 32 oz bag of hash-browns, chicken stock, onions, sausage/ham and cream of chicken soup in crock pot
Cook at high for 3-4 hours or low 6-8 hours
Add cream cheese and stir

Cool - Serve in a bowl with cheese/sour cream/chopped green onions/bacon bits as chef's choice

Stove top can accelerate everything - cuts cooking time to maybe 30-40 minutes.
If doing the stove top method, make sure to boil and that the potatoes and onions are cooked accordingly. Turn stove top off and add cream cheese - stirring, etc.
