2 - 4 Filet Mignon
salt
pepper
garlic powder
thyme sprig
1/4 cup salted butter
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp minced garlic
1/3 cup port

Directions:
Directions:
Season the filet with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Heat oil to high and sear both sides of the filet for 2 minutes per side. Once seared, add 2 T butter, 1 T. minced garlic, and thyme to pan. Transfer skillet to 450 oven and cook without turning over for 3 minutes. Return to stove top on medium heat. Add remaining butter and garlic, more thyme and the port, just enough time to baste. Rest 5 minutes.
