1 1/2 lbs hamburger
1 med onion
28oz canned tomatoes
2 cups water
1 ltr of consumme (beef broth)
1 can tomato soup
4 carrots
8 tbsp barley
1 bay leaf
3 sticks of celery
1/2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp thyme
pepper to taste

Directions:

Brown and drain burger.
Brown finely chopped onion
Finely chop carrots
Add all ingredients to large pot simmer covered for 2-12 hours.
