Preheat oven to 350ºF
In a large bowl combine flour,sugar,1 tsp cinnamon.
Using an electric mixer cut the butter until mixture forms pea size pieces
Press 2/3 of mixture into a 9" pan
Peel apples, slice them thin and place in a bowl
Pour off any liquid that accumulated, toss the apples in 1 tsp cinnamon and lemon juice.
Put them in the prepared pan pressing down gently as you pack them in( they will mound over the edge of the pan)
Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top
Place the pan on an aluminum foil covered cookie sheet bake for 1 hour 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Use a knife around the edge of the pan and let the cake cool to set, serve at room temperature
