2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 c. pineapple juice
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 8 oz. container of cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter and flour into saucepan and stir until smooth.

Add pineapple juice, sugar, and egg.

Cook slowly, continuing to stir until thickened. (Will be the consistency of a thick sauce). Cool.

Stir in Cool Whip.

Jean, I've had this recipe for 30 years ....and when it is served with apple slices, pear slices, even bananas ... everyone loves it!
