1 ¾ cups flour
1 ¼ cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup shortening, softened
¼ + 1/3 cup sour milk
1 cup (2 - 3) banana, mashed
2 eggs
½ cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. Add shortening, ¼ cup sour milk, and bananas. Beat for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour into large, greased loaf pan or into 24 muffin tins. Bake at 350º for 1 ¼ hours for loaf and 20 minutes for muffins.
