1/2 c. unbleached white flour
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/4 c. margarine, softened
1/3 c. sugar
24 pecan halves (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven 350

Sift together flour and cocoa powder;set aside.

Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in flour mixture and mix until dough is formed (You may need to roll the dough with your hands, adding a teaspoon of water if necessary.)

Divide dough equally into 24 small balls. Place dough on greased cooked sheet. Dip a fork into hot water and flatten each cookie with the tines. Place a pecan half atop each cookie.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet while still hot and place onto wire racks.
