2 c. soft butter (4 sticks)
1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 c. finely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 400

Mix together butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Sift together flour and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased sheet(cookies do not spread). Bake until set, with light brown edges. While still warm roll in sugar (also try cinnamon and sugar). Cool. Roll in sugar again.
