1/2 c. finely chopped celery
1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
2 slices green onions
1 clove garlic, minced
2 T. water
2 (14 1/2 oz) cans chicken broth
1/3 c. cornstarch
2/3 c. beer (1 can)
1 jar pasteurized cheese spread

Directions:
Directions:
Combine celery, carrots, onions, garlic, water in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Cover and microwave on high 5-6 minutes. Add 1 1/2 cans chicken broth, cover and microwave on high 8-9 minutes or until steaming hot. Combine cornstarch and remaining 1/2 can broth. Stir into hot soup, mixing well until blended. Microwave on high uncovered 4-5 minutes or until mixture boils. Finally add beer and cheese spread and microwave on high uncovered 2-3 minutes until heated through.
