2 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
2/3 c apricot or peach preserves
1 4oz can chopped green chiles, well drained
1 Tbs onion, minced
3/4 c Monterey Jack cheese, finely shredded

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cream cheese, preserves, chiles and onion with electric mixer.
Spread into shallow dish. Top with cheese.
Serve with assorted crackers. Good with lavosh crackers.

Personal Notes:
Mom noted she leaves out the jack cheese. I think this would make a great cheese ball, rolled in some chopped pecans. And maybe add a little chopped jalepeno for some kick.
