Four to six slightly beaten eggs
1/2 cup sugar
Two cups milk
to cups cooked white rice (cook cup rice with cup milk and cup water)
to one teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, sugar, milk, and salt.
Add rice and vanilla
Optional: to one cup raisins, plumped)
Bake* at 325 for 50 to 60 minutes in a buttered (8"x8" square Pyrex baking dish or until a knife inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean.
Serve warm or cool.

Can double recipe and use a 9"x13" pan.

*Set custard in a dish of hot water while baking so it doesn't scorch.
