1 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup molasses
2 tbsp vinegar
5 cups white all purpose flour
3 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, molasses, and vinegar.
Add dry ingredients.
Mix with a large spoon, then turn out on a floured board and kneed till you have a nice round ball.
Roll and cut dough with gingerbread boy cookie cutter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
