5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
¼ c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
¾ c. flour
⅓ c. butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Spread apples in a 9x9 in. baking dish.
In a measuring cup, mix water, cinnamon and salt.
Sprinkle over apples.
In a small bowl, measure sugar, flour and butter.
Work together with a pastry blender until crumbly.
Spread crumb mixture over apples.
Bake uncovered, about 40 min.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
