Candied Fruit Slices

1 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. pecans, finely chopped
1 c. candied cherries
1 c. red or green candied pineapple

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar. Add egg and vanilla, then flour. Mix well. Stir in pecans. Cut the fruits into small pieces ( I use scissors and dip them in water when they get sticky). Add the fruits and mix well. Chill the batter for one hour, then form into rolls 12 inches long. The roll can be frozen and baked when needed.. Slice the rolls and bake at 325º for 13 to 15 minutes.
